Amoxicillin Sodium is a broad-spectrum amino-penicillin and isindicated in the treatment of bacterial infections such asactinomycosis, biliary-tract infections, bone and joint infections,acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, gastroenteritis, (includingEscherichia coli enteritis and Salmonella enteritis, but notshigellosis), gonorrhoea, mouth infections, sinusitis, otitis media,pneumonia (except where Mycoplasma suspected), typhoid and paratyphoidfever, urinary-tract infections, bacterial meningitis and theprophylaxis of endocarditis.

Amoxicillin Sodium is alsouseful treatment for infections of the ears, nose, throat, and skin.Amoxicillin Sodium is also used in combination with other medicationsto eliminate H. pylori, a bacteria that causes ulcers. It works bystopping the growth of bacteria. Antibiotics will not work for colds,flu, and other viral infections.
