IndicationsIt can be used in curing ectozoa disease such as nematodosis, Haematopinidae and acaridiasis in livestock.

Dosage and AdministrationIntramuscular injection. 0.3 mg of this product could be used per 1 kg of weight in pig for each time (Namely, 1 ml of this product could be used for 33 kg of weight).

Pharmacological actionDoramectin is produced by the fermentation of the new bacterial strain resulted from Streptomyces avermitilis whose genes had been recombined and Doramectin is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent. Doramectin has an excellent anthelmintic action on celozoic and ectozoic parasites especially on some Nematode (Roundworm) and Arthropod while it has no effect on Cestode, Trematode and Protozoa. The mechanism of action can be described as that the γ propalanine (GABA) which is an inhibitory neurotransmitter is increased inside the polypide which resulted in the conduction blockage of neurological signal and the loss of contractility of muscle cells and finally the polypide dies. The peripheral neurotransmitter of mammals is acetylcholine which can not be affected by Doramectin. Doramectin can not easily penetrate the hemato encephalic barrier and had little damage on central nervous system which is safe to livestock.

3. The product should be kept in dark place because it could decompose and inactivate quickly under the sunshine.

4.  The residue of this product is toxic to fishes and aquatic organism, thus attention should be paid to the preservation of water resource.
